Local-first learning

MyMuslimPal helps adults and children learn and practise Islam. There are no ads, advertising identifiers, behavioral advertising, cross-app tracking or automatic analytics in the app. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. Voice-following availability depends on your platform, app version and installed recognition model. Microphone audio for supported voice-practice features, including Imam mode, is processed only on your device; it is not sent to a recognition server or used by us to train a model. This policy does not turn off operating-system services or the network services described below.

Information on your device

The app can store reading position, bookmarks, learning progress, preferences, a local profile, selected prayer city, dhikr counters, recitation feedback and recordings locally. A local demonstration profile stays on the device. Optional online friends and learning sync, where available and chosen, are described below; they are not required for core local learning. Some audio is transient and saved audio/history can persist until deleted. Use available history controls or your operating system's app-data controls. Copies you deliberately export or share are controlled by their recipient. Device backup or migration may preserve local app data under your own operating-system settings; we do not operate a recording-sync service in this release.

Optional online friends and learning sync

Online social features are optional. Where available, opening the online social feature can create an account with a random identifier; no email address, phone number or real name is required. A random identifier is still a persistent account identifier, not a guarantee that the data cannot be linked. Depending on the available feature, the service stores profile choices (such as an optional display name or username and avatar), friend connections, invitations, learning milestones, streaks, levels, weekly learning points, encouragement messages and privacy preferences. Friends can see the learning/profile information shared with them; an optional learning league shows participants the information described when joining. Microphone audio and saved recitation recordings are not included in this sync. Ordinary reading does not enroll you in online social features.

Problem reports and suggestions

You can choose to send us a problem report, a feature suggestion or a note about wrong text, from the app menu, the Quran reader, a content screen or the website form. A report contains only what you type, the reference you report about (such as an ayah, Mushaf page or source entry), the app, recitation-engine and content version, the platform and operating-system version, the app language, basic display details (screen size class, text size, dark mode) and the names of the last few app screens you opened. The app suggests a screenshot of the current screen, which you can remove before sending. If you choose, you can add up to three images, one short video (a video includes its sound) and an email address for a reply. No recitation recording, microphone audio (other than the sound of a video you attach), practice history, account identifier, device identifier or IP address is stored with a report. Location and camera details (EXIF, including GPS) are removed from images before storage; do not attach videos that may contain location. Reports that cannot be sent right away wait on your device and are sent later. Reports are stored with Cloudflare (D1, KV and R2), are read only by the MyMuslimPal team, and are used only to fix problems and improve the app. Your email is deleted 90 days after the report is closed, closed reports are deleted after one year and every report after two years; images and videos are deleted with their report. To delete a report sooner, write to support@mymuslimpal.com with its reference number.

Imam mode and your screen

On supported iOS and Android devices, Imam mode asks the operating system to keep the screen awake while its reading/practice screen is open. Exiting Imam mode or closing that screen releases this request. This display setting does not itself request microphone access or upload data; voice following uses the microphone when you start supported voice practice. A lit screen may use more battery. Desktop/web support and system behavior may differ.

Permissions and internet

The microphone is used when you choose voice practice. Reading does not require microphone permission. Prayer reminders are optional and use local notifications, with alarm access where applicable. Prayer calculations use a manually selected city; the app does not request GPS. Models, recordings of reciters, translations and source links can require internet access. Cloudflare and the selected content providers receive normal request information, such as an IP address, requested resource, time and connection metadata. A requested ayah can reveal which public content was fetched. Your microphone audio, saved recordings and complete practice history are not attached to these download requests.

Purposes, recipients and retention

Local records provide the features you select. Optional online account/profile and learning records support friends, sync and leagues. Those services use Cloudflare where configured; the data is not used for advertising. Network metadata supports content delivery, reliability and security; we do not build advertising profiles. Cloudflare hosts/distributes some content, and independent recitation/translation providers apply their own policies. Google Play and the Apple App Store distribute the app and its downloadable model packs under their own privacy policies. External sites you deliberately open are outside the app. The retention periods for technical logs and support messages are listed in the policy details above, subject to lawful exceptions. Independent services set their own retention periods.

Security

App content downloads and supported online social clients use HTTPS. Voice recordings stay on your device; optional online features store the account and learning information described above. Account deletion removes the linked records held by the selected service, subject to the retention and backup details disclosed for that service. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete a remote account. Your device's security and backup settings help protect local data; no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Choices and rights

You can refuse/revoke microphone and notification permissions, avoid optional online downloads and social features, delete an online account through the available account controls, delete local history where supported, and clear app storage or uninstall to remove app-local records. Delete an online account before clearing its local access credentials; if access is lost, contact support for the applicable recovery/deletion process. We cannot remotely erase files held only on your device. For support records or applicable access, correction, objection, portability, restriction or deletion rights, contact support@mymuslimpal.com. We may request proportionate proof that a request concerns your information; never send a password or a child's recording as proof. You may complain to the competent data-protection authority. See /delete-data for the practical steps and backup/export limitations.

Children and optional online features

Children use MyMuslimPal; see the children's notice below. Local learning and on-device voice practice do not need an online social account. Online features must not be offered to children where required parental authorization and controls are not in place. A child-mode setting or hidden name does not make a persistent account or learning record anonymous, and it is not age verification or parental consent. Required parental safeguards must be completed before enabling collection from children. Device microphone permission is not verifiable parental consent for server collection.

Changes to this policy

The effective date is shown in the policy details above. We will update this policy and its effective date when our practices change, and provide notice before material changes take effect. Any new collection requiring consent will begin only after that consent is obtained.

مزايا التواصل عبر الإنترنت اختيارية. حيث تتوفر، قد يؤدي فتح ميزة التواصل المتصلة إلى إنشاء حساب بمعرّف عشوائي؛ ولا يلزم بريد إلكتروني أو رقم هاتف أو اسم حقيقي. يظل المعرّف العشوائي معرّفًا ثابتًا للحساب، وليس ضمانًا لتعذر ربط البيانات به. بحسب الميزة المتاحة، تحفظ الخدمة اختيارات الملف، مثل اسم العرض أو اسم المستخدم الاختياري والصورة الرمزية، وروابط الأصدقاء والدعوات وإنجازات التعلم وأيام الاستمرار والمستويات ونقاط التعلم الأسبوعية ورسائل التشجيع وتفضيلات الخصوصية. يرى الأصدقاء بيانات التعلم والملف المشتركة معهم؛ وتعرض دورية التعلم الاختيارية للمشاركين المعلومات الموضحة عند الانضمام. لا تشمل هذه المزامنة صوت الميكروفون أو تسجيلات تلاوتك المحفوظة. لا تسجّلك القراءة العادية في مزايا التواصل المتصلة.

بلاغات المشكلات والاقتراحات

يمكنك أن تختار إرسال بلاغ عن مشكلة أو اقتراح ميزة أو ملاحظة عن نص خاطئ، من قائمة التطبيق أو قارئ القرآن أو شاشة محتوى أو نموذج الموقع. يتضمن البلاغ ما تكتبه فقط، والموضع الذي تبلّغ عنه (مثل آية أو صفحة من المصحف أو مدخل مصدر)، وإصدار التطبيق ومحرك متابعة التلاوة والمحتوى، والمنصة وإصدار نظام التشغيل، ولغة التطبيق، وتفاصيل عرض أساسية (فئة حجم الشاشة وحجم الخط والوضع الداكن)، وأسماء آخر شاشات فتحتها في التطبيق. يقترح التطبيق لقطة للشاشة الحالية ويمكنك حذفها قبل الإرسال. ويمكنك إن شئت إضافة ما يصل إلى ثلاث صور ومقطع فيديو قصير (يتضمن الفيديو صوته) وبريد إلكتروني للرد. لا يُحفظ مع البلاغ أي تسجيل تلاوة أو صوت من الميكروفون (عدا صوت فيديو ترفقه بنفسك) أو سجل تدريب أو معرّف حساب أو معرّف جهاز أو عنوان IP. تُزال بيانات الموقع والكاميرا (EXIF ومنها GPS) من الصور قبل حفظها؛ ولا ترفق مقاطع فيديو قد تحتوي على الموقع. البلاغات التي يتعذر إرسالها فورًا تنتظر على جهازك وتُرسل لاحقًا. تُحفظ البلاغات لدى Cloudflare (D1 وKV وR2)، ولا يطّلع عليها إلا فريق MyMuslimPal، ولا تُستخدم إلا لإصلاح المشكلات وتحسين التطبيق. يُحذف بريدك بعد 90 يومًا من إغلاق البلاغ، وتُحذف البلاغات المغلقة بعد سنة وكل البلاغات بعد سنتين؛ وتُحذف الصور والمقاطع مع بلاغها. لحذف بلاغ قبل ذلك، راسل support@mymuslimpal.com مع رقمه المرجعي.

وضع الإمام والشاشة

على أجهزة iOS وأندرويد المدعومة، يطلب وضع الإمام من نظام التشغيل إبقاء الشاشة مضاءة ما دامت شاشة القراءة أو التدريب الخاصة به مفتوحة. يؤدي الخروج من وضع الإمام أو إغلاق شاشته إلى إلغاء هذا الطلب. لا يطلب إعداد الشاشة وحده إذن الميكروفون ولا يرفع بيانات؛ وتستخدم متابعة الصوت الميكروفون عند بدء التدريب الصوتي المدعوم. قد تستهلك الشاشة المضاءة طاقة أكثر. قد يختلف الدعم وسلوك النظام على الحاسوب والويب.

الأذونات والاتصال

يُستخدم الميكروفون عندما تختار التدريب الصوتي، ولا تتطلب القراءة إذنه. تنبيهات الصلاة اختيارية وتستخدم إشعارات محلية، مع إذن المنبّهات عند الحاجة. تُحسب الصلاة للمدينة المختارة يدويًا؛ ولا يطلب التطبيق GPS. قد تحتاج النماذج وتسجيلات القرّاء والترجمات وروابط المصادر إلى الإنترنت. تتلقى Cloudflare ومصادر المحتوى المختارة معلومات الطلب المعتادة، مثل عنوان IP والمورد المطلوب والوقت وبيانات الاتصال. قد يكشف طلب آية عن المحتوى العام الذي نُزّل. لا تُرفق بهذه الطلبات أصوات الميكروفون أو تسجيلاتك المحفوظة أو سجل تدريبك الكامل.

الأغراض والجهات المستقبلة والاحتفاظ

توفّر السجلات المحلية المزايا التي تختارها. تدعم سجلات الحساب والملف والتعلم الشبكية الاختيارية الأصدقاء والمزامنة والدوريات. تستخدم تلك الخدمات Cloudflare حيث تكون مهيأة، ولا تُستخدم البيانات للإعلانات. تدعم بيانات الاتصال توصيل المحتوى وموثوقيته وأمانه؛ ولا ننشئ ملفات إعلانية. تستضيف Cloudflare بعض المحتوى وتوزّعه، وتطبّق مصادر التلاوة والترجمة المستقلة سياساتها الخاصة. يوزّع Google Play وApple App Store التطبيق وحزم نماذجه القابلة للتنزيل وفق سياسات الخصوصية الخاصة بهما. المواقع الخارجية التي تختار فتحها تقع خارج التطبيق. مدد الاحتفاظ بالسجلات التقنية ورسائل الدعم مبيّنة في تفاصيل السياسة أعلاه، مع مراعاة الاستثناءات القانونية. تحدد الخدمات المستقلة مدد الاحتفاظ الخاصة بها.

الأمان

تستخدم تنزيلات المحتوى وعملاء التواصل المدعومون HTTPS. تبقى التسجيلات الصوتية على جهازك؛ وتحفظ المزايا الشبكية الاختيارية بيانات الحساب والتعلم الموضحة أعلاه. يحذف حذف الحساب سجلاته المرتبطة لدى الخدمة المختارة، وفق تفاصيل الاحتفاظ والنسخ الاحتياطية المعلنة لتلك الخدمة. إزالة التطبيق وحدها لا تحذف الحساب الشبكي. تساعد إعدادات أمان جهازك ونسخه الاحتياطية على حماية البيانات المحلية؛ ولا توجد وسيلة تخزين أو نقل آمنة تمامًا.

اختياراتك وحقوقك

يمكنك رفض أو إلغاء أذونات الميكروفون والإشعارات، وتجنّب التنزيلات ومزايا التواصل الاختيارية، وحذف الحساب الشبكي عبر أدوات الحساب المتاحة، وحذف السجل المحلي حيث تدعم الميزة ذلك، ومسح بيانات التطبيق أو إزالته لحذف سجلاته المحلية. احذف الحساب الشبكي قبل مسح بيانات الوصول المحلية إليه؛ وإذا فقدت الوصول، فتواصل مع الدعم لمعرفة إجراء الاسترداد أو الحذف المناسب. لا نستطيع حذف ملفات جهازك عن بعد. بشأن سجلات الدعم أو حقوق الاطلاع والتصحيح والاعتراض ونقل البيانات وتقييد المعالجة والحذف حيث تنطبق، تواصل على support@mymuslimpal.com. قد نطلب إثباتًا متناسبًا بأن الطلب يخص بياناتك؛ لا ترسل كلمة مرور أو تسجيل طفل كإثبات. يمكنك تقديم شكوى إلى سلطة حماية البيانات المختصة. راجع /delete-data للخطوات العملية وحدود حذف النسخ الاحتياطية والمصدّرة.

الأطفال من مستخدمي MyMuslimPal؛ راجع إشعارهم أدناه. لا يحتاج التعلم المحلي والتدريب الصوتي على الجهاز إلى حساب تواصل شبكي. يجب عدم إتاحة المزايا الشبكية للأطفال حيث لم تُستكمل الموافقة الأبوية والأدوات المطلوبة. لا يجعل وضع الطفل أو إخفاء الاسم الحساب الثابت أو سجل التعلم مجهول الهوية، ولا يُعد تحققًا من العمر أو موافقة أبوية. يجب استكمال الضمانات الأبوية المطلوبة قبل تفعيل جمع البيانات من الأطفال. إذن ميكروفون الجهاز ليس موافقة أبوية موثقة لجمع البيانات على الخادم.

Our commitments to families

MyMuslimPal includes children learning with their family. Local learning does not require an online account. Voice practice and saved recordings stay on the device; microphone audio is processed only there. Optional online social and learning features can transmit persistent identifiers, profile choices and learning/social information as described in /privacy. These features must not be offered to children unless the required parental safeguards are in place. Do not enter a child’s real name or other identifying details into an optional online profile. Content downloads involve the provider request information described in our Privacy Policy. A parent or guardian should supervise recording, exports and external links. There are no ads, cross-app tracking or purchases. A local demo profile is not an online account, but an enabled online social feature can create one when opened. Friends may receive shared learning milestones or preset encouragement; this is distinct from public audio posting or free-text chat. Child-mode name hiding does not prevent all online collection and is not proof of age or parental authorization.

Parental permission and optional features

Before a child uses any online feature that collects personal information, we will ask a parent or guardian first. For children under 13 in the United States, we will obtain verifiable parental consent before collection where COPPA requires it. We will explain the purposes and recipients to parents and provide access, refusal of further collection and deletion controls.

Where GDPR consent is the legal basis for an online service offered directly to a child, we will obtain parental authorization below the applicable national age threshold, which varies between 13 and 16 in EU member states. We will use age-appropriate plain language, collect only necessary data and take proportionate steps to verify parental authorization. Device permission, acceptance of terms or a child clicking “I agree” does not replace required parental authorization.

Removing children's information

Parents can remove local records using available app controls or OS clear-storage/uninstall, and contact support@mymuslimpal.com about support/server records. We cannot access or delete local-only data remotely. Do not send your child's audio or identity documents with an initial request. If we learn that we have collected a child's personal information without required authorization, we will delete it. Online features for children require working parent controls before activation; this notice does not implement or verify those controls.

موافقة ولي الأمر والمزايا الاختيارية

عندما تكون الموافقة أساسًا قانونيًا وفق GDPR لخدمة إلكترونية مقدمة مباشرة إلى طفل، سنحصل على موافقة ولي الأمر إذا كان الطفل دون السن الوطني المطبق، الذي يتراوح بين ١٣ و١٦ سنة في دول الاتحاد الأوروبي. سنستخدم لغة واضحة مناسبة للسن، ونجمع البيانات الضرورية فقط، ونتخذ خطوات متناسبة للتحقق من موافقة ولي الأمر. إذن الجهاز أو قبول الشروط أو ضغط الطفل على «أوافق» لا يعوّض موافقة ولي الأمر المطلوبة.

حذف معلومات الأطفال

يمكن لولي الأمر حذف السجلات المحلية بالأدوات المتاحة أو مسح بيانات التطبيق أو إزالته من خلال نظام التشغيل، والتواصل على support@mymuslimpal.com بشأن سجلات الدعم أو الخادم. لا نستطيع الوصول إلى البيانات المحلية وحدها أو حذفها عن بعد. لا ترسل صوت طفلك أو وثائق هويته مع الطلب الأول. إذا علمنا أننا جمعنا معلومات شخصية لطفل دون الموافقة المطلوبة، فسنحذفها. تتطلب المزايا الشبكية للأطفال أدوات فعّالة لولي الأمر قبل تفعيلها؛ ولا ينفّذ هذا الإشعار تلك الأدوات ولا يثبت التحقق منها.
